At ProDraftScouting.com, we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve, spotting elite talent before the mainstream community catches on. Enter, Florida State do-it-all sensation WR/RB Micahi Danzy (6-1 190 4.29). A Redshirt-Freshman, Danzy has been a steady riser on our 2027 NFL Draft Big Board all year long. Currently resting at WR8 in the class.

Speed Kills

Let's not bury the lead here, rumored to run in the 4.2s, Micahi Danzy is one of the fastest players in college football, and it definitely shows up on the tape. He has an extra gear in the open field that will leave NFL scouts salivating. The former FSU track star has been a major playmaker for the Seminoles midway through the season. Danzy is averaging 20+ yards per everything this year.

Scouting Report

  • Fast and plays fast. Danzy is a dynamic athlete who is a true threat to score any time he touches the ball. The kid destroys defenders angles, and seems to effortlessly glide through opposing secondaries. He shows good bend and flexibility. Some of these track dudes can be a little stiff and awkward. Not Danzy.

  • Despite a somewhat lean frame, he shows excellent toughness, with a knack for coming down with contested catches. He may just be scratching the surface in this regard, as he continues to build mass and get stronger at the catch point. Strong hands but appears he is still learning to fully trust 'em. Don't want to see any unnecessary body catches.

  • A former 4-star recruit, Danzy was brought in as an "athlete," with some projecting him to play on the defensive side of the ball at DB. However, he spent most of his freshman year in the RB room before moving over to WR full time this season. Danzy is still refining his craft, but his improvement has been notable. Very comfortable with the ball in his hands. His vision in the open field is impressive.

  • Needs to diversify the route tree. Want to see crisper routes and more hip sink. He has the athleticism to do it. He reads defenders well. Want to see him continue to improve his route manipulation.

  • Compares favorably to a Jameson Williams (12th overall draft pick 2022). The NFL covets speed like this. Micahi Danzy can take the top off of any defense in the NFL, opening things up for your QB and other playmakers to work underneath more effectively. Also similar to Williams in his body-control, stop-start quickness and pure big-time playmaker mentality.

  • He is not just a track athlete, speed guy. He knows how to play the game. He knows how to utilize his toolkit. The passion and desire stand out with this young man. That's half the battle sometimes, especially with a profile like his. The arrow continues to point up for him and his development.

Why the Community is Wrong

Seems like the Devy Dynasty and Draft Community aren't there yet with this kid...? Many calling him a Day 3 prospect at best at the time of this publishing...?

There are clear echoes of NFL playmakers in Danzy's highlights. Let's be real, there are only so many NFL players like Jameson Williams' to go around, but every team wants one! Danzy can play that coveted role for a franchise, no problem. He can be your Xavier Worthy speedster type, who not only takes the top off a secondary, he can embarrass your entire defense with a single jet sweep. You think the NFL is gonna let that slip through their fingers on draft day? ...Not so fast my friends!!

Truth is, Micahi Danzy came into college without a position, and in our opinion, it is because he was not clearly labeled as a top-tier wide receiver prospect heading to a traditional "WR U" powerhouse, so everyone in the community was sleeping on him from the jump. A lot of people are still too low on this prospect! I bet most of you reading this still have Mylan Graham ranked ahead of Micahi Danzy..? True or False?

Buy Now!

Price is going to keep going up! We here at ProDraftScouting.com are hearing the NFL is more than just intrigued by him. You are going to want to start bumping him up into your Top 10 WR lists, if you know what's good for ya! Former FSU star WR Keon Coleman was drafted 33rd overall (2024). I don't think that's out of reach for our guy Danzy. The league is putting a premium on players with his profile. Ball is in his court.

For those of you in Campus to Canton or Devy Dynasty leagues, this is a loud, clear call: Get your shares of Micahi Danzy now. We project a usable Dynasty asset at worst, with a sneaky high ceiling depending on landing spot in the NFL. If you play Best Ball, Danzy will be a must-roster player.

Opportunity is everything, and this kid is going to have his opportunity in the pros.

You heard it here first! Don't wait too long! Buy low while you still can. We'll see how the season unfolds, but I have already picked up shares in C2C and I'm planning to grab shares at the back end of a few Devy drafts in the offseason. I mean, if this level of play and production continues, I would be foolish not to.

There ya have it. Micahi Danzy is a 2027 NFL Draft prospect you need to know. Now you do.
